How to make a flying witch DIY Halloween wreath in 2 easy steps:

Each of the elements in this wreath are quite easy to make, and will only take about 1 to 2 hours total once you have the materials ready. Because I have detailed tutorial and video for each one, I will give a brief description and link to each tutorial below.

Step 1: make 3 elements on the flying witch DIY Halloween wreath

The “Flying Lessons” sign is made from a free printable design taped or glued to a piece of cardboard cut to a slightly smaller size than the paper. I used 8.5×11 paper and 8×10 cardboard. You can download the printable here.

The witches broom is made from branches and twigs in our garden. DIY magical witches broom tutorial here.

The witches shoes are made from two piece of construction paper, so easy and fun! Witches shoes Halloween paper craft tutorial here.

Step 2: assemble the flying witch DIY Halloween wreath

Arrange the broom, sign, and boots on the boxwood wreath to figure out how long each thread or twine needs to be.

Tie some black threads or twine onto the broomstick. Tape some threads onto the back of the sign, and use a clothespin attached to a string to hold the withes shoes.

Next hang each element onto the boxwood wreath. All the foliage makes hanging super easy because these elements are all quite lightweight.

If you don’t have a boxwood wreath, you can still make a great DIY Halloween door decoration with the flying lessons free printable Halloween sign!
