I saw these pretty peony flowers at a Dollar Tree Store, and knew they would be perfect. I did not want only peonies, so I mixed in some Daffodils and Daisies. Feel free to improvise on the color combinations and flower choices!

Step 1: how to make a wire wreath frame quickly and easily from a dry cleaner’s hanger.

Take a hanger and bend the 2 pointed ends first, then push it down along the sides of a 5 gallon bucket, use the bucket to help forming a circular shape.

Step 2. prepare flowers to make flower wreath

Cut the flowers off the main step, leaving a 4” to 5” long stem at the base of each flower, and the leaves on the stem too.

Important tip: look closely at the image below to see how to shape the stem of each flower. The loop is where the flower would go onto the wire frame later, and the bend at the tip keeps the leaf from falling.

Step 3. add flowers to wire wreath form

Open up the hanger wire frame. String each of the flowers through those loops we made in Step 2.

After closing the wire loop, if the hook is showing too much, just bend and twist it a little, so it’s hidden behind the flowers.

  3. This is certainly a inexpensive and very creative way of making wreaths for all occasions. Thank you for the tutorial videos and the step by step instructions. I’m sure my wife will be very impressed and excited about the new creations. I will certainly keep you posted. Thanks again.

  4. So pretty! Love the heart-shaped wreath, too! But how do you make it? Of course you have to bend the coat hanger to a heart shape, but how do you fill in the center of the heart with flowers as well?

I would be tickled to make a pair of hearth-shaped wreaths for my doors for February–please let me (and all your readers) know how!

    • hi sue, the heart shaped one isn’t a wreath, just a fun picture of flowers piled in heart shape! =) you could make a cardboard heart and glue flowers to it! =)

  5. I click, click, clicked and came upon your blog. OMGee willikers!! There are so many things I have fallen in love with and want to create thanks to your incredible ideas and spot-on tutorials ~ deciding on what comes first will be a challenge! One thing’s for sure: my house is going to get awfully dusty because all I want to do now is craft!! I’ll ask that no one writes the date in the dust LOL! Thank you so much for the jolt of inspiration I didn’t know I needed… xo

  6. This wreath is so pretty that I ran to the Dollar Tree and bought flowers and made one myself. Only problem I found, was when I tried to hang it up, all the flowers slid down the wire and bunched at the bottom. Did you glue them to the hanger before hanging it up? If so, what’s the best way to secure them? Sorry about the questions, but I’m pretty new at this crafting stuff.

  7. LOVE your wreath, esp. the price! Great hack. I couldn’t even imagine spending $344 on a wreath. My husband would probably fall over in shock – probably not best for the marriage! Visiting from Hometalk.

  8. This is so smart! Perfect for Spring!! I love the bright colours 🙂 I’m asking bloggers to share their Coat Hanger projects at the Create with Me party tomorrow. I hope you’ll come by my blog, Love Create Celebrate, and share this one!
