First 2 Months of Blogging and Blog Tour

IMG_5075cI never thought I would start a blog, and here I am, 2 months into this journey already! In this short time I made many new friends and discovered many inspiring blogs. When I received a blog tour invitation from my dear friend Donatella at The Day Dreamer Diary, (more on her blog at the end!) all the way from France,  I was happy to take the opportunity to share more about my blogging journey and a couple of other blogs I enjoy with you, my dear readers!

IMG_2403Here are the blog tour questions:

1. What am I working on?

When I started my blog here in April this year, I was also taking a 16-week woodworking class on Fridays ( will share in another post!), in addition to my day job 3-4 days a week! There were a lot of learning curves from setting up a website, to taking better photos, to creating diy projects. I stayed up till 2:00 a.m. for many nights until mid May, when I finally caught up a little… I hope!

There’s still much to learn, and I have so many exciting projects being made, and new places to travel to, so I’m super busy, but no more 4-hour-sleep nights!

2. How doe my blog differ from others of its genre?

Such a tough question! I honestly think everyone is unique, and every person has a unique point of view. So without trying, we are all different. Our work is to follow our heart and let our unique light shine through.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?

In my day job, people pay lots of design fees to have beautiful spaces created and expensive artistic furniture made for their home and garden. I want to make good designs and art more accessible to everyone, and encourage everyone to become their own designers. This blog has become a great place for me to share with others, and be inspired by others.

4. How does your creative process work?

I am inspired by a lot of things from nature to unique places to beautiful designs. Being so curious about how things are made, I often feel that I missed out on the fun if I don’t figure it out and make it! So I always have a lot of ideas flying around, and have to try hard to focus on one, and create it.

IMG_2757I am so thankful to all of my readers and blogger friends – your visits and support means so much to me! Here are some of my new blogger friends whose blogs are beautiful and unique in their own way, and a little bit about themselves in their own words.

maggie1. Maggie who writes beautiful posts on travel, diy, and creative design, from

An American girl living in Germany. I have a degree in architecture but I have become an interior design junkie and a DIY-er extraordinaire. I am also a military wife and a mom of two. Being married to the military has meant nine moves in the last fourteen years and lots of houses to put my stamp on. I am now an expert at setting up house quickly and making a house a home with out a high end budget. When we moved to Germany in 2013 I decide it was time to start a blog to share my adventures with the world.

debbie2. Debbie who shares refreshing ideas on creating simple yet delicious lunches, and life style, from

I am a wife, mother of three and I run a daycare in my home. I make a lot of lunches (and snacks). My blog,, is where I share how I make lunch a delicious experience – recipes, DIY’s, tips and tricks. My life is super busy, like all parents, so I like healthy lunches that are simple, fun and get eaten. My blog is very new, but I am really excited about all that lies ahead.

donaAnd don’t forget to visit Donatella at The Day Dreamer Diary, who writes so beautifully that even Google Translate can not hide the magic and poetry in her style!

The pretty flower photos are from our trip to Portland. Have a lovely week and see you in a few days! xoIMG_2636
